reflection:
This was a journal about revenge on October 19, 2012. I chose this journal because it shows what kind of writer I was in the beginning of the year. This journal helps show the improvement I've made since the beginning of the year. It shows I had a base, and all I had to do was go into a little more detail to make a more sophisticated journal. This journal also expresses that I knew what I wanted to say and that I had knowledge of the topic.
make the connection:
There are many experiences that could make someone want to seek revenge. Some people may have been betrayed by the person they thought they loved. Their boss could have hired someone else. Maybe their loved one was killed and the murderer isn't in jail. An obsession with vengeance is very dangerous. If you spend every waking minute trying to "fix" something that was wronged long ago, you will waste your life, but if nothing happens, it's considered a tragedy.
An example of revenge would be the show "Revenge". Her father was put in jail and killed but she believed he was innocent. She goes through a dangerous adventure trying to make everybody miserable. She married a guy to get to his family. When something bad happens, or someone dies, it is a tragedy. If you are obsessed, you ruin your life.

analysis:
In this journal, I had short choppy sentences, but I had a good example. At the time, I knew what I was trying to write but I couldn't convey it to a point where readers could easily understand it. The topic of revenge could go very deep and in depth but my sentences were the opposite. I barely skimmed the surface of many of the topics associated with revenge.
